Core Rules

There are two rules documents. The Core Combat Rules cover combat while the Wargaming Rules Supplement provides alternate game modes as well as unit / pilot upgrades.
Where to start for New Players?
If you are a Gundam fan ready to play your first game here is what you need:
- 10d10 per player.
- A Tape Measure
- Minis, Figures or Models of your favorite Mecha
- For Gundam try the 1/144 HG Gunpla kits, the much smaller 1/400 gashapon minis, or Mobile Suit in Action (MSIA) action figures
- MechaStellar Core Combat Rules
- Mecha Unit Profile PDFs for your units.
- Play your first game, we recommend starting small with only a couple of mechs on each side. For example 3-5 Zaku IIs vs 3-5 GMs.
- If you have questions contact us here or on social media

Mecha Unit Profile Sheets
Below are the mecha profile sheets which are grouped by the series they originate from.
Designer’s Note: The game runs best when all units on each side are within 3-4 performance points (i.e. Performance range of 1 – 4 or 5 – 7). Consider the +50pt Performance upgrade in the wargaming rules supplement if you want to upgrade a favorite unit.
Gundam Profiles

Universal Century (UC)
All UC Mobile Suit profiles from VER9 have been converted to VER10.

Alternate Universe (AU)
81 units from Gundam X, Turn A and the rest of Wing & G Gundam still need to be converted from VER9 to VER10

Stellar Warship Profiles
Stellar Warships – Captain Harlock, Space Battleship Yamato and Gundam – 46 playable units
Classic Super Robots

Includes Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Combattler V, Voltes V, Brave Raideen, Daitarn 3, GaoGaiGar, Gurren Lagann
Once we finish converting the Super Robots from VER9 to VER10 we will once again split up the PDFs into classic vs modern super robots.
Series waiting on VER10 conversion: Big O, Escaflowne, Evangelion, Exkaiser, Fighhbird, Da Garn, Might Gaine.

MechaStellar Unit Design Goals
Cooperative Campaign Mission Packs – Gundam

This Mission pack contains the Federation and Zeon Sandbox Campaigns as well as the 0080 and Gundam Wing Narrative campaigns.
Last Updated 05JAN2024
Sandbox Campaigns
These Mission Packs are Sandbox style campaigns which offer a simple premise to get your battle kicked off. Between battles you can acquire new Mechs as listed in the mission pack.
An enemy behavior chart is included in each Mission Pack, it is recommended you have a printed off copy of this on hand as an easy reference.
Narrative Campaigns
These mission packs are for narrative campaigns that follow along the story of various Gundam entries. Below is 0080 War in the Pocket and New Mobile Report Gundam Wing.
Mission Packs – Getter Robo & Shin Mazinger

The mission pack includes the 1974 Getter Robo manga by Ken Ishikawa. This works best as a solo campaign but you can always play with friends having them control the enemy Mechasaurus or having them take control of the different Getter Forms.

The mission pack also includes the 2009 Mazinger Z OVA directed by Imagawa. This works best as a solo campaign but you can always have a friend control the enemy Kikaiju.
PENDING VER10 UPDATE
Mission Pack – Pacific Rim

Below is a narrative mission pack for Pacific Rim that matches the events of the movie from Hong Kong until the finale. It is setup as a what if style game so you can choose to deploy different units and if you perform well you may even save a few Jaeger’s and their pilots from a grisly fate. This is intended for 1 or 2 players cooperatively while a third player can take control of the rampaging Kaiju, otherwise a Kaiju specific behavior chart has been provided.
