This is a short battle report using the MechaStellar rules for a 2v2 Tag Team match of the Shuffle Alliance, on one side we have Gundam Maxter and Dragon, on the other we have Zeus and Royal Gundam.
In this game the players were using the double HP variant. Since the players were still getting used to the units and the Gundam Fight rules this fight a few tactical mistakes were made leading to an early game victory.
Round 1
Fighting Stye – Royal/Zeus – Seeking Shots. Maxter/Dragon – High Mobility.
Royal Gundam (also known as John Bull Gundam in the original) snipes Gundam Maxter while hiding behind a rock Formation. Maxter loses Momentum in order to avoid failing an Armor Save.

Gundam Maxter moves up and fires with its twin magnums, Royal loses 2 Momentum on failed armor saves.
Zeus uses a Momentum on the Make it Count skill for a bonus action which he uses to Full Throttle across the map to intercept Maxter and run him over with his chariot. On the way he uses his Bolt of Judgement landing 9 hits on Maxter. The high speed attack from the Chariot takes off another 1000 HP from Maxter.

Dragon sprints across the field and makes an acrobatic attack with the feilong flag dealing a massive 3000 DMG to Zeus.
Round 2
Fighting Style – Maxter/Dragon = Offense (Melee). Royal/Zeus = Seeking Shots.

Maxter up first, he knows he’s going to use a cyclone punch on Zeus but considers what direction he’s going to knock him back. He considers trying to knock him back into Royal Gundam but the distance is far enough that if Zeus partially avoids the attack, it won’t happen. Plus then he’d have Zeus in the way of his avenue of approach for Royal.

Too risky, so instead he decides to knock Zeus into the nearby Rock terrain.

Enough gets through that Zeus gets flung into the rock formation taking 2200 DMG. Maxter then uses the Make it Count skill for a bonus action to go full throttle and melee charge Royal. A stupendous roll giving 19 hits vs Royal’s meager 4 Blocks in Melee, Royal takes 7500 DMG and survives with a few HP left.

Zeus activates next and takes aim at Dragon Gundam. Zeus’ Bolt of Judgement strikes for 12 Hits, then he swings around for a high speed charge, right into a torrent of dragonfire overwatch attack.

Now in Melee Zeus puts 10 dice in attack and 2 dice in Defense while Dragon puts all their dice into Counterattack.
The dice gods are not with him and Zeus botches the attack roll. Zeus needs a 5+ on each die to hit and as you can see from the photo there are a whole lot of 4s there. The Dragon Gundam escapes unscathed thanks to the illusion of the Feilong Flags.

Now for Dragon’s Counterattack, with 7 total hits vs Zeus’ paltry single Block, Zeus burns through Momentum to reduce damage and strengthen his Block but if he fails any armor saves he’s going down. He rolls a 7 but then a 3, ouch. Down he goes, well done to Sai Saici in the Dragon Gundam.

Round 3
Maxter/Dragon win initiative. With two against one in melee, the former champion doesn’t stand a chance.
Since the players were still getting used to the units and the Gundam Fight rules this fight a few tactical mistakes were made leading to an early game victory.
