Below are some photos we took from a couple different games while testing out the revised melee and thrown weapons.

A battle between Great Mazinger and Getter Robo G, two classic allies fighting against the Combattler V team and Milliardo Peacecraft in the Epyon.

What better way to test the old and new melee systems than to have too of our melee juggernauts go at it. In the old system Getter would often get lucky and score several critical hits making him very dangerous (on a simple 1 slot melee weapon).
Now in the new system Getter Dragon (Tier 2 Melee unit) was frequently on the ropes against Epyon (Tier 3 Melee unit). The battles between the two went for several rounds as well with melee weapons doing overall lower damage.

Don’t forget Great Mazinger who ascended to the high ground to try and fry Epyon with a thunder break. Combattler V played support in this particular game and hammered Getter from afar trying to finish off his sliver of health after he escaped from Epyon.

Moments before Epyon cleaved through the Getter machines. Out of Momentum they were unable to separate in time.
Overall we were pretty happy with these tests from a super robot side of the house. We also got a lot of favorable results doing mobile suits only. Grunts especially who could survive 2 hits in melee (provided they pass their armor saves) as well as Gelgoogs and Gundam types who know they can survive a few more hits in melee.
