MechaStellar Monthly Roster Update – FEB2025 – VER10 Turn A Gundam + GBF Rules

Hello everyone, I hope everyone had a great February, it’s a busy month for us and so a slow period for MechaStellar updates. This month we are updating Turn A Gundam to VER10, added a few more from Gundam X and we also have the long awaited Gundam Build Fighter rules being updated to VER10. These rules allow you to field your kitbashed mobile suits.

Check the MechaStellar game-downloads page for updates to the UC and AC Mobile Suits profiles. No updates to rules or other profiles this month.

For Gundam X we’ve added in Gundam Leopard and Airmaster. These two are fantastic support units to field with your GX-9900 or any powerhouse Gundam with fragile defenses.

For Turn A Gundam we have the eponymous Turn A as well as the Turn X, both of these being our highest Performance units released. In the future we’ll be working on and adding in other Tier 3 units for VER10. One of the benefits of VER10, is that it is more possible than before to have a battle with a bigger range of performance values. We’ve had Turn A and Turn X threatened by Performance 6 units now, while in the past anything below Performance 8 struggled against them.

We also had some extra time and filled out some more roster picks from Turn A Gundam, including Sochie’s beloved Kapool, a new and improved Borjanon and the Cannon Illefuto which is suspected to be a post F91 unit. For the Diana Counter we also have the Wadom and the mesmerizing Sumo units.

Last but not least we’re hitting our February deadline of getting the Gundam Build Fighters (GBF) rules updated to VER10. For the initial release we’ve greatly expanded the weapons armory from VER9 focusing on iconic weapons and leaving some room to expand after we finish tweaking some other weapon and shield values. Speaking of, there were various weapon tweaks and small unit rebalances from UC Gundam (and a few AU units).

The Gundam Build Fighters rules gives you a lot of flexibility in customizing your units and fielding your favorite kitbash. Let’s walk through an example.

Let’s say you want a transforming mobile suit with a base mode and a jet mode. It’s weaponry is mostly physical with a gatling gunpod, lots of missiles and perhaps an antiair laser weapon.

We’ll use the GM Intercept Custom as a base (Frame 1, Performance 4, VP7, 150pts). We’ll start by removing and adding weapons to see how many Equipment (EQ) slots we need.

We’ll remove the E-2 Beam Pistol (-2 slots), the Vulcans (-1 slot). TL Rocket Launcher (-2 slots) and Beam Saber (-1 Slot). We’ll keep the TL Micromissiles, and add a 2nd usage for (+2+2=4 slots). We’ll add a beam vulcans as our anti-air laser weapon and we’ll give it two uses (+1+1=2 slots). For our gatling we’ll use a Gunpod (+5 slots).

Altogether we are removing (-2-1-2-1) 6 slots and we are adding (+4+2+5) 11 slots. So we are effectively adding 5 slots which equals +50pts to our base of 150pts = 200pts.

We then add Jet Transformation for +50pts and +2VP. (All +50pts upgrades are +2 VP).

Our transforming Interceptor is now 250pts and 9VP.

Have fun with the GBF rules, be sure to post your battle reports so we can see your cool kitbashes.
