[MS] Alseides Tactics

Alseides are the terrifying mass produced Guy Melefs built by the Zaibach empire in Escaflowne.  After they begin mining ancient crystalline dragon hearts en masse they have a power source to start mass producing Guy Melefs with their scientifically advanced civilization.  Ordinarily Guy Melefs are hand crafted and can take decades or even a century to complete depending on how intricate they are, making them precious armaments of war. [MS] Scherazade Tactics

Scherazade is the iconic Guymelef piloted by Allen Schezar, one of the main characters in Escaflowne.  Allen is a noble knight with a chivalrous exterior but a haunted past which is later discovered by our protagonist Hitomi.  An outstanding swordsman he was trained by Balgus and is one of the few pilots in the world who can fight off the invisible Alseides. [MS] Escaflowne Tactics

Escaflowne is the eponymous mecha of the Vision of Escaflowne TV series.  In this show the Mechs are called Guymelefs, they are clockwork machinery that resemble giant suits of armor which makes a great aesthetic for this fantasy setting.  The Guymelefs are powered by the crystalized hearts of dead dragons, Escaflowne is a one of a kind Guymelef used by the royal family of Fanelia and pilot by our hero Van Fanel. [MS] Tallgeese Tactics

Tallgeese is a mothballed prototype that was brought back into operational status in order to fight the five Gundams that landed on earth as part of Operation Meteor.  Tallgeese was originally deemed too difficult and dangerous to use until it was finally mastered by Zech’s Merquise.  Below are some tactics if you plan on using them in a Gundam Tabletop game or a SRW Tabletop game with the MechaStellar ruleset.

[MS] Shenlong Gundam Tactics

Shenlong Gundam (Nataku) piloted by Wufei Chang is a close range dueling Gundam.  Armed with a beam naginata and some rather unique arm mounted dragon weapon it can extend to reach out and crush an opponent or unleash a gout of flame on its enemies.  Playing as Shenlong requires you to advance into melee range as quickly as you can to start devastating the enemy forces. [MS] Gundam Heavyarms Tactics

Gundam Heavyarms piloted by the mysterious Trowa Barton is the fire support for the Gundam team.  Possessing exceptional armor and an overwhelming amount of firepower and enough actions to use them all in short order.  Playing as Heavyarms will require you to be judicious about your weapon use so you don’t run out too quickly, or use them too little and get overwhelmed by the enemy. [MS] Gundam Sandrock Tactics

Gundam Sandrock is piloted by Quatre Raberba Winner, scion of the Winner family and is the heart of the Gundam team.  Sandrock itself is designed as a frontline Commander suit, sporting the highest Armor of all the Gundam’s with exceptional C2 suite.  Sandrock is exceptionally hard to remove so your opponent will have to decide between focusing fire or ignoring it as it moves up the field cleaving through their models. [MS] Deathscythe Tactics

Deathscythe is an iconic fan favorite Gundam piloted by Duo Maxwell.  Duo is the first to meet Heero and have lending him a hand later regrets it when Heero liberates parts from Deathscythe to repair Wing and carry out his mission.  A wise-cracking level-headed pilot he is often the voice of reason the audience can relate to.  His Gundam is one of the more unique designs representing a grim reaper a mantle Duo is happy to take up. [MS] Wing Gundam – Tactics

The eponymous Wing Gundam is the first Gundam we see in Gundam Wing.  In breaking with formula it’s the first time we see a Gundam lose in the opening episode where it is defeated by Zechs Merquise using a Leo Old Type.  Zech’s uses the Leo to grapple with Wing before plummeting through the atmosphere and into the ocean, where they are astonished that both the mobile suit and the pilot survive.
