[MS] – Evangelion Miniatures

On this page we’re going to discuss the different miniatures available for Evangelion to be used with the MechaStellar Wargame Rules.

When playing MechaStellar we advise you to pick either a Versus movie scale (all figures are roughly the same height) or an approximate scale where some very large robots (i.e. 100+ meter robots like Daitarn 3 or Ideon) are represented by larger figures while everything else is around the same height. You can read more about the recommended size and scale here.

Continuing from our last post this one we’ll look at the Evangelion miniatures available at a small scale. We’ll be looking at two kinds, the articulated models found in Gashapon (toy capsule machines) as well as the Seika pencil sharpeners. We’ll also look at some larger figures that are 5″ or taller such as the very common Revoltech figures.

[MS] – Gundam Miniatures 1/400 & 1/300

Continuing from our last post this one we’ll look at the Gundam miniatures available. This post will focus on Gundam models at the 1/400 & 1/300 scale. The 1/400 line of Gundam minis that ran from 2004 to 2010 and with an amazing wide array of models released for both Universal Century (UC) and Alternate Universes (AU).

In the UC range it covered everything from the original Mobile Suit Gundam (0079) until Unicorn (0096) with a few units being produced for F91 and Victory Gundam. For AU it had major releases for Gundam SEED and Gundam Wing as well as models for the main mobile suits of G Gundam, Gundam X, Turn A Gundam and Gundam 00. The standard 1/400 has a simple black base the figure stands on, there is also a series called Mini Figure Select or M.F.S. that is also 1/400 scale and is either painted on a white base or metallic on a black base as seen above.

[MS] – Mission Pack Release – Pacific Rim

As promised the narrative style Mission Pack for Pacific Rim has been released this Sunday. This mission pack follows the events of the movie from Hong Kong till the finale and features Leatherback, Otachi, Scunner, Raiju and Slattern. The mission pack is put together as a “What if” scenario to allow you to attempt to alter the events. You can deploy different Jaegers to defend the harbor and if you perform well you may even save a few of the Jaegers and their pilots from a grisly fate.

[MS] Unit Roster Update 29OCT21

This week’s update we are releasing the rest of the Pacific Rim units, three new Jaegers and three new Kaiju.  I didn’t get enough time to finish up the Narrative Mission Pack for Pacific Rim this week but it will be released on Sunday.  The Narrative Mission Pack will capture the exciting battles that take place during Hong Kong.  Next week will be the update to the Gundam Co-op Mission packs for both the Federation and Zeon extending them out to 10 missions.

[MS] Unit Roster Update 22OCT21

This week’s update is Pacific Rim which will give you more units to use with the new “Defend The City / Rampage” game type.  If you’ve never seen Pacific Rim it’s a very fun and well directed movie by Guillermo del Toro starring giant robots called “Jaegers” and their two synchronized pilots who defend Earth from giant monsters called Kaiju that come through a breach between worlds under the Pacific Ocean.  If you’re a fan of Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla then this movie should be right up your alley.  Here’s an example scene from the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLptjP1RKmQ

[MS] Unit Roster Update 15OCT21

Last week we released the Defend the City | Rampage game type as well as units from Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) including three Evas and two Angels, Sachiel and Shamsel.  This week we are releasing the 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th angel.  Next week we’ll be switching things up and releasing units from Pacific Rim to give you more ways to make use of the Defend the City | Rampage game mode.
